How to implement mid-century design in your wedding
One of the interior designs that I’m drawn to is Mid-century design. There are a whole bunch of amazing furniture designers from that epoch - from Scandinavia and USA that found amazing and I would love to have a chair from every single one of them. With my passion for that style and amazing creative crew, last February we decided to create a wedding inspirational that circle around that idea. And before place here a whole gallery with beautiful pictures, let me give you few characteristic that are typical for the Mid-Century Design.
Mid century design is popular with its clean lines, curves and smooth surfaces and very often you can see some people think that this style is too minimalistic. The materials are mainly wood, but also plastic and glass. And to add a bit of an interest, in Mid-century modern there are always a little pop of color and patters with clean lines. Some of the most iconic designers from that time are: Arne Jacobsen - Denmark, Charles and Ray Eames - USA, Florence Knoll - USA, George Nakashima - USA, Harry Bertoia - USA.
So keeping in mind all this key characteristic of this style, here is our stunning wedding editorial from Cornerstone, Sonoma. The editorial was featured on Wedding Chicks and Chic Vintage Bride.
